Pux is based on several years of observation of fonts in public transport, which are shaped by the limited parameters of low-resolution LED displays. Although these fonts seem to have very limited design options and should adhere to scrict pragmatism, they form a whole destinct typographic genre with a number of curious design decisions.
Rather then dogmatically copying the letterforms, Pux works with the specific limitation of sparse grid in Glyphs and lets itself be intuitively carried away by limits and glitches within the software (aspects such as huge contrast between uppercase & lowercase and wonky curves are a result of this approach.)
Pux works best in display sizes, where the oddities of its drawing, which disapper in smaller sizes, are the most visible.
