The typeface originates from the lettering of a commemorative plaque at Prague Castle, dedicated to those connected to the castle who lost their lives during the German occupation and the Prague Uprising. Its skeleton remains faithful to this source, while the forms have been reworked through a sharper, heavier, and more contemporary lens. Reinterpreting it’s reference, Rachot explores its graphic potential, translating the metal inscription into shapes inspired by speed, contrast, and mechanical precision.
